Purchase Ledger Clerk

As a Purchase Ledger Clerk you'll handle the day-to-day management of financial transactions, ensuring supplier invoices are processed accurately and on time. Based in Sutton Valence, this temporary role is vital in keeping the accounting and finance department running smoothly. We are looking for someone who can commit to three days per week on an ongoing basis.

Client Details

This role is with a company based in Sutton Valence operating in the business support industry. Working part time 3 days per week.

Description

  • Process supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company procedures.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and process payment runs, including BACS and cheque payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Handle supplier queries and provide timely resolutions.
  • Assist with month-end tasks, including ledger reconciliations and reporting.
  • Support the team with ad hoc financial and administrative tasks.

Profile

A successful Purchase Ledger Clerk should have:

  • Experience in purchase ledger or accounts payable roles within accounting and finance.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • A proactive approach to resolving issues and meeting deadlines.
