Part-Time Receptionist (Ongoing Temporary Assignment)

Salary: £33,000 - £36,000 (pro rata)
Location: Central London
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 9:00am - 4:00pm
Start Date: Immediate Start Available

About the Role:

We are currently seeking a friendly, professional, and highly organised Receptionist to join a thriving business in Central London on an ongoing temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a people-focused environment and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service while keeping the office running smoothly. As the face of the business, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and employees, helping to create a welcoming and professional office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the reception area and providing a warm welcome to all visitors and clients.
  • Coordinating meeting room set-ups, ensuring refreshments such as water and coffee are prepared for guests.
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post and deliveries.
  • Maintaining kitchen and communal areas, including overseeing the dishwasher and ensuring spaces remain tidy and well-stocked.
  • Ordering office supplies, including milk, fruit, snacks, and refreshments.
  • Managing office maintenance requests and liaising with property management through a ticketing system.
  • Responding to office enquiries, troubleshooting issues where possible, and ensuring queries are resolved efficiently.
  • Providing general administrative and office support as required.

About You:

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with a strong customer-service mindset. You will enjoy helping people, remain calm under pressure, and take a proactive approach to solving problems.

  • Previous experience in a Reception, Front of House, Customer Service, or Office Support role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional and personable approach.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Confidence working independently and using your initiative.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Experience using Google Sheets would be advantageous.
  • A solutions-focused attitude with the ability to investigate and resolve queries effectively.

The successful candidate will be comfortable communicating with a diverse range of people and building positive relationships across the organisation.
