About the Role:
Journalist, author, former war reporter, wheelchair user, and British Army Reservist Captain Peter Apps is seeking one or more adaptable Research/Personal Assistants to provide immediate support for a major new book project and wider executive initiatives. The primary focus is his upcoming book, “BATTLE FOR THE WORLD: The New Long Fights of the Drone and AI Age.” This role requires a blend of high-level research, administrative coordination, and personal/logistical support, including potential coverage at upcoming political party conferences and international travel. Note: This is strictly an executive, administrative, and logistical support role. It is NOT a care role (a dedicated overnight care team is already in place).

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct desk research, media monitoring, and background drafting on geopolitics, defense technology, AI, and international relations.
- Assist with calendar coordination, daily scheduling, travel arrangements, and administrative tasks.
- Accompany and support Peter at events, political party conferences, and potential overseas trips.
- Provide driving and local mobility support as needed (Driver preferred).

Requirements:
- Strong interest or background in geopolitics, technology, defense, or contemporary international relations.
- High level of charisma, adaptability, and initiative to support diverse projects.
- Openness to flexible hours and adventurous domestic/international travel.
- Valid driver’s license (preferred).
