A successful business in their field is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join their finance team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and hands-on finance professional looking for a varied role within a supportive environment, with the possibility of a permanent position.
Your new role
Working as the sole finance person in an established wider team, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of the business.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the accounts function through to trial balance
- Processing and reconciling UK and European bank accounts
- Performing regular bank reconciliations
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies
- Credit control and debt collection activities
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Xero
- Supporting month-end processes and reporting requirements

What you'll need to succeed
- Previous bookkeeping experience, ideally as a standalone finance professional
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Experience producing accounts to trial balance
- Confidence managing multiple bank accounts, including overseas accounts
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong credit control and reconciliation experience
What you'll get in return
- Competitive salary equivalent of £28,000 - £32,000 FTE depending on experience
