Part Time Senior Practice Accountant - Maidstone
TPF Recruitment, Kent's leading accountancy practice recruitment agency, is supporting an excellent chartered accountancy practice based in Maidstone. They are looking for a Part Time Senior Practice Accountant to join their experienced team in a general practice capacity. This role is primarily focused on statutory accounts and corporate tax returns but also offers opportunities to support with self-assessment tax work and more interesting management accounts work, should you wish.
Our client is willing to build the position around the candidate's experience and aspirations.
About the Role
As a Senior Practice Accountant, you will report directly into the Manager and be responsible for a mixed client portfolio, which includes small business owners through to multi-million pound groups. You will be based in an amazing office in a rural location in Maidstone and also have the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. This is a great position with an excellent practice that promotes a great work-life balance.

Full-time or part-time applicants will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review annual statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
- Opportunity to prepare and review monthly and quarterly accounts and VAT returns.
- Managing your client portfolio and client relations.
- Oversee and review the work of more junior staff and bookkeepers.
- Onboard new clients and assist the partners with ad-hoc consulting and systems implementation work as required.

Requirements
- Part Time Senior Practice Accountant - Maidstone
- Qualified, or studying ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience with at least 3-5 years' experience within practice.
- Experience as a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant within a practice environment and hands-on experience of accounts, ideally management accounts, tax, and VAT.
Benefits
- Part Time Senior Practice Accountant - Maidstone
- £35,000 - £50,000, based on experience
- 3-4 days per week, or equivalent hours
- Full benefits package
