Job Title: Part Time Solicitor (2 days a week)
Location: North London, Finchley
Salary: £45,000 (pro rata basis)
Contract Type: Part-time office based

We are a leading UK-based energy company committed to driving innovation and sustainability across the sector. As part of our continued expansion, we are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Solicitor to join our in-house legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work at the heart of a dynamic and future-focused industry.
The Role:
The successful candidate will support the Commercial and Credit Control Directors and wider business on a range of matters including regulatory compliance, commercial contracts, and energy-related projects. This role offers exposure to complex legal issues in a fast-paced and evolving industry.

Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and manage commercial contracts and agreements
- Provide legal research and support on regulatory and compliance matters
- Assist with due diligence and document management
- Liaise with internal stakeholders and external counsel as required
- Support legal team with project-related documentation and corporate governance
- Maintain legal filing systems and ensure confidentiality of information
- Provide formal legal advice and take full legal responsibility for case outcomes
- Lead negotiations with opposing counsel or third parties
- Maintain qualifications and keep up to date with industry-specific legal updates

Requirements:
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent) or completed GDL
- Prior experience in an in-house legal team or law firm, preferably within the energy, infrastructure, or utilities sector
- Strong legal drafting and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of professionalism and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal document management tools
Desirable:
- Familiarity with UK energy regulation and commercial contract law
