Role Description
The Part-Time Sustainability Production Assistant and Coordinator will support the planning, implementation, and tracking of sustainability initiatives on film, TV, and media productions. This on-site role, based in London, involves gathering and analyzing production data related to materials, transport, energy use, and waste, and helping translate these findings into practical, eco-conscious actions for the crew and production team. The individual will assist in coordinating green measures on set, liaising with production departments and vendors, and maintaining clear documentation and reports throughout the lifecycle of each project. Day-to-day tasks include supporting sustainability briefings, monitoring compliance with agreed plans, facilitating re-use and recycling processes, and helping prepare summary reports and case studies that capture outcomes and lessons learned.

- Environmental and sustainability knowledge, including an understanding of carbon reduction strategies, circular economy principles, and waste management practices.
- Production coordination abilities, such as organizing schedules, tracking logistics, and supporting communication between departments and vendors.
- Data collection and analysis skills, with the ability to work with spreadsheets, basic reporting tools, and structured documentation to track environmental metrics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including clear writing, confident verbal communication, and the ability to engage respectfully with diverse teams on set.
- Practical problem-solving and adaptability, with the capacity to identify feasible sustainability solutions within tight timelines and budget constraints.
- Interest or experience in film, TV, or media production environments, with an understanding of typical production workflows and on-set etiquette.
- Ability to work part-time on site in London, including occasional early starts, late finishes, or weekend work in line with production needs.
- Relevant education or training in environmental studies, sustainability, production management, or a related field is beneficial.
- Experience with sustainability certification schemes, reporting frameworks, or carbon calculators in the screen industries is an advantage but not required.
