Job Location: Northampton, MA 01060-1104

Salary Range: $25.00 - $26.00 Hourly

At LearnWell, we are committed to changing the lives of the 10 million students in the U.S. who are dealing with behavioral health issues. For more than 26 years, we have provided on-site educational services in hospitals, helping these school-age patients continue their education during treatment and reintegrate successfully into the classroom. With a network of over 200 educators, we strive to make a positive impact for generations to come.

Currently, we are seeking a passionate and creative teacher to join our team in Northampton, MA on a part-time basis. This unique position will involve working in a fast-paced behavioral health facility, providing academic support to child and adolescent school-age patients in a small classroom setting as they receive treatment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver daily lesson plans
  • Provide individualized assistance to students
  • Regularly communicate about student progress as needed
  • Monitor and adjust teaching strategies to ensure student success
  • Maintain accurate attendance and session reports

Most of our class sizes range from 8 to 15 school-age patients at any one time.

Position Details:

  • Commitment: 20 hours a week, Monday-Friday, 1-5pm

Qualifications:

  • B.A/B.S. degree from an accredited institution
  • Massachusetts state teaching license
  • Comfortable working with adolescent students
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of subject matter relevant to student needs
  • Reliable Transportation
