Role Description

The Part Time Teacher of Humanities (Geography and History) KS1 to KS4 will deliver engaging, live online lessons to students following the British National Curriculum. This remote role includes planning and teaching lessons, assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and adapting resources for different age groups and abilities. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to ensure curriculum alignment, contribute to departmental planning, and participate in virtual meetings and professional development. Daily responsibilities involve maintaining accurate records, supporting students’ academic and personal development, and fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment. This is a part-time role, offering flexibility while requiring reliable availability during scheduled teaching hours.

  • Strong Teaching and Education skills, with proven experience delivering Humanities (Geography and History) within the British National Curriculum.
  • Effective Lesson Planning abilities, including designing age-appropriate learning activities for KS1 to KS4.
  • Excellent Communication skills for clear instruction, feedback, and collaboration in an online environment.
  • Training and mentoring capabilities to support students’ study skills and independent learning.
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with relevant degree in Geography, History, or related field.
  • Experience teaching in online or blended learning settings, with confidence using digital tools and platforms.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusive practice, and supporting students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability in managing part-time schedules, and readiness to engage in ongoing professional development.
