Role Description

This is a part-time (0.8) remote role for a Teacher of Maths, teaching learners from KS1 to KS4. The teacher will plan and deliver engaging online maths lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum, using interactive tools and resources suitable for different key stages.

The teacher will support students individually and in groups, differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs, and communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and colleagues. The role also involves:

  • Contributing to departmental planning
  • Participating in online meetings and training sessions
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive learning environment

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Education and Teaching, with proven experience delivering maths lessons across KS1 to KS4.
  • Competence in Lesson Planning and Training, including designing structured, age-appropriate schemes of work and supporting students’ academic development.
  • Excellent Communication skills, particularly in an online classroom setting, with the ability to explain complex mathematical concepts clearly.
  • Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE or equivalent) and subject-specific expertise in Mathematics.
  • Experience with online teaching platforms, digital resources, and classroom management in virtual environments.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusive practice, and supporting learners from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
  • Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a remote team.
