Team Leader Position: Mid Essex Talking Therapies Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader position to join the Mid Essex Talking Therapies service to cover maternity leave, based in Braintree, Essex and part of the Hertfordshire Partnership Foundation NHS Trust.
We are seeking to recruit an exceptional candidate to provide leadership to our Talking Therapies team and may also provide support to other teams as required. You will work closely with the operational manager and senior clinicians to ensure that we continue to provide an efficient, safe, responsive, and high-quality service to our service users.

Please note that HPFT is contracted to provide the Mid Essex Talking Therapies service until 31 March 2027, after which a different provider will assume responsibility for delivering the service. This advertised job role is a secondment position covering maternity leave. Any transfer of staff to the incoming provider would be subject to the applicable TUPE regulations and formal consultation processes.
Role Overview
The Talking Therapies Team Leader will work in collaboration with the operational manager to ensure that the highest possible standards of practice and service delivery are maintained. As part of this, the post-holder will have a key role of managing clinical and non-clinical operational systems and processes within the team.

Key Responsibilities
- Use their management experience to lead on service changes and developments and contribute at a local level to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.
- Lead a multi-disciplinary team, with involvement of service coordination, staff wellbeing, supervision, client support, complaints, governance and service performance and improvement.
- Maintain a positive and supportive team culture, following trust values and to respond actively to the needs of the team.
- Maintain a clinical leadership role and/ or a caseload for more complex cases, dependent on sector need.
