Position Type: Part-Time (20–25 hours per week, between Monday to Saturday)

We are currently looking for a knowledgeable, practical, and customer-focused Tool Sales Assistant & Power Tool Repair Specialist to join our team.
The Role
This dynamic, hands-on role combines counter sales and customer service with technical hands-on power tool diagnostics, servicing and repairs. You’ll be the friendly face behind the counter helping customers choose the right gear, while also rolling up your sleeves in the workshop to get their machinery back up and running.

Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Sales:
- Advise trade professionals and DIY customers on power tools, hand tools, accessories and consumables.
- Process over-the-counter sales, handle inquiries and assist with stock management.
- Diagnostics & Repair:
- Diagnose, service and repair a wide range of electric, cordless and mechanical power tools (drills, saws, breakers, grinders).
- Source replacement parts, produce basic repair quotes and keep clear logs of work completed.
- Workshop & Store Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe workshop environment.
- Ensure store displays are neat, fully stocked and well-presented.
About You
We are looking for someone who loves getting hands-on with tools, understands technical machinery and enjoys working with people.
Qualifications & Experience

- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience diagnosing, servicing or repairing electrical/mechanical power tools or small machinery.
- Industry Knowledge: Strong familiarity with major power tool brands (e.g., Makita, DeWalt, Bosch, Milwaukee, Festool, Paslode) and general trade supplies.
- Customer Skills: Excellent communication skills with a helpful, approachable, trade-friendly attitude.
- Attributes: Detail-oriented, organized, reliable and able to work independently in the workshop.
A background in electrical/mechanical fitting, plant hire repair, tool hire, or trade sales is highly advantageous.
