About the Role
Are you passionate about helping others and delivering fantastic customer service? Have you ever considered a role in Audiology?
As a Trainee Audiology Practitioner, you will learn clinical skills while managing clinic administration in line with patient needs. Training begins with Wax Removal, progressing to fitting activities—providing essential hearing care for our customers.

Responsibilities
Once fully trained, you’ll act as the first point of contact for customers, supporting them through their hearing health journey. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing clinical activities along the customer pathway
- Performing Wax Removal (including microsuction techniques)
- Repair & Rehabilitation of hearing devices
- Assisting with administration in line with patient needs
- Maintaining a high standard of customer service

Location and Flexibility
- Based in the Oban Specsavers store, with coverage of the Fort William store (driver’s licence required)
- First 4 weeks of training at the Greenock store — ensure you’re available for this
- Hours: 24 hours per week between Monday and Saturday, 9am–5pm.
- Alternating Saturdays required (2 days in Fort William + 1 day in Oban)

Requirements
You need:
✅ Driving licence (to cover Fort William/Oban routes) ✅ Good written and verbal English skills for effective communication ✅ Enthusiasm for self-development and learning ✅ Passion for customer service, ideally from a healthcare, retail, or customer-facing role (but previous healthcare experience is not essential)
This role does not require:
- A degree or specific formal qualifications
- Prior fluency in patient management systems (training provided)
