About the Role
AR Experts Ltd is looking for a creative, commercially experienced Part-Time UI/UX & Visual Designer to join our team in Manchester. This is a versatile design role where you will be responsible for creating intuitive, modern and visually engaging digital experiences for our own BizAlign product portfolio as well as websites, applications and digital products developed for our clients. You will work closely with our product, development and marketing teams to design user-friendly interfaces, improve existing digital experiences, develop visual identities and create professional design assets across multiple platforms. We are particularly interested in someone who combines strong UI/UX design capabilities with visual design, branding and graphic design skills. As we work across different products, clients and industries, you should be comfortable adapting your design approach to different user requirements, business objectives and brand identities.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for creating and supporting:
UI/UX & Product Design
- User interface design for web applications, SaaS platforms, dashboards and mobile applications
- User experience design focused on usability, accessibility and intuitive navigation
- Wireframes, user flows, prototypes and high-fidelity interface designs
- Designing and improving interfaces for BizAlign products and external client projects
- Dashboard layouts, data visualisations, forms, tables and complex application workflows
- Responsive designs for desktop, tablet and mobile devices
- Improving existing application interfaces based on user feedback and business requirements
- Creating reusable UI components, design systems and visual guidelines
- Developing interactive prototypes to demonstrate user journeys and product functionality
- Collaborating with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs
- Reviewing implemented interfaces and recommending visual and usability improvements
Website & Digital Experience Design
- Website UI/UX design for corporate websites, product websites, landing pages and client projects
- Designing modern, conversion-focused website layouts
- Website redesigns and visual improvements
- Creating website banners, illustrations, icons and graphical elements
- Maintaining consistency across website pages and digital products
- Designing engaging product presentation sections and interactive visual experiences
- Working with developers to ensure responsive and consistent implementation
Branding & Visual Identity
- Logo design, refinement and brand identity development
- Creating visual identities for new products, services and client brands
- Developing brand guidelines, including typography, colour palettes, iconography and visual styles
- Designing product icons, custom illustrations and graphical elements
- Ensuring brand consistency across applications, websites and digital channels
- Supporting brand refreshes and visual identity improvements
- Creating scalable vector graphics and assets suitable for digital applications

Marketing & Creative Design
- Designing professional marketing graphics for BizAlign products and clients' products and services
- Social media creatives for LinkedIn and other digital platforms
- Digital advertising creatives for Google Ads and other marketing campaigns
- Product launch graphics, promotional banners and feature announcements
- Presentation designs, product mockups and marketing collateral
- Supporting basic motion graphics, interface animations and promotional visuals where required
- Working with the marketing team to translate creative briefs into polished visual assets
You may be working on a BizAlign SaaS dashboard one day, redesigning a client website the next, and developing a new product logo or brand identity afterwards. Versatility, creativity and attention to detail will therefore be essential.
What We're Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates who can demonstrate strong commercial UI/UX and visual design experience through their portfolio. You should have:
- Previous professional or commercial experience in UI/UX, product design or digital design
- A strong portfolio showcasing real-world UI/UX projects and visually polished digital products
- Strong proficiency in Figma, including Auto Layout, components, variants and interactive prototyping
- Experience designing responsive web and mobile application interfaces
- Strong understanding of user experience principles, usability and accessibility
- Experience creating wireframes, user flows and high-fidelity designs
- Good understanding of design systems and reusable UI components
- Strong visual design skills, including typography, colour, composition, spacing and visual hierarchy
- Ability to design clean, modern and professional digital interfaces
- Graphic design capabilities, including logo design, branding and digital visual assets
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, or equivalent professional design tools
- Ability to translate product requirements and business ideas into effective design solutions
- Understanding of developer handoff and collaboration with software development teams
- Ability to work across multiple products and client brands while maintaining their individual identities
- Good communication, organisation and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple design requirements and deadlines
- A reliable, high-performance laptop suitable for professional UI/UX and graphic design work
- Must be based in the UK
- Must be able to attend our Manchester office as required under the hybrid working arrangement
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be advantageous:
- SaaS and enterprise software product design
- CRM, ERP, business management platforms or administrative dashboards
- Mobile application design for iOS and Android
- UX research, usability testing and user journey mapping
- Advanced Figma prototyping and interactive components
- Design systems and component libraries
- HTML, CSS and an understanding of modern frontend frameworks such as React
- Experience collaborating with frontend developers
- Creative agency or multi-client environments
- Brand identity development and professional logo design
- SVG illustrations, icon systems and vector artwork
- Micro-interactions, interface animations and motion design
- Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro or similar creative tools
- Digital marketing and advertising creative design
- B2B technology and software product design
- Working simultaneously across multiple client brands and projects

Selection Process
Your portfolio will be one of the most important parts of your application. Candidates will be shortlisted based on their portfolio, commercial experience, UI/UX design quality, visual creativity and technical capabilities, followed by an interview. We would particularly like to see examples of:
- Web application or SaaS dashboard designs
- Mobile application UI/UX projects
- Website and landing page designs
- Wireframes, prototypes and user flows
- Design systems and reusable UI components
- Before-and-after examples of interface improvements
- Logo designs, brand identity projects or visual design work
- Marketing graphics and other digital creative assets
- Work produced for different companies, products or client brands
Portfolios demonstrating both functional UI/UX design and strong visual creativity will be particularly valued. Applications without a relevant portfolio may not be considered.
