About The Role

This part-time warehouse operative role in Preston Brook offers temporary ongoing work with Pertemps Liverpool, paying between £13.98 and £15.25 hourly. Several shift patterns suit different schedules:

  • Each Monday 18:00-06:00 at the higher rate
  • Each Monday 14:00-02:00
  • Each Monday and Tuesday 14:00-22:00

Duties centre on sorting flat-pack furniture and white goods, plus picking and loading items with handheld scanners. Prior warehouse experience is essential, and applicants must pass a drug and alcohol test. Previous Warehouse Experience Is Essential For This Role.

We are currently recruiting for Part-Time Warehouse Operatives to join a busy and fast-paced warehouse team based in Preston Brook. This role involves mainly sorting flat-pack furniture and white goods within a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sorting flat-pack furniture and white goods for dispatch
  • Picking and loading products using handheld scanners
  • Operating MHE, including PPT and Reach Trucks
  • Carrying out basic quality checks prior to dispatch
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Adhering to all health and safety procedures and site policies
  • Supporting the wider warehouse team with general duties as required

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse experience is essential
  • Previous PPT, LLOP, or Reach Truck experience is desirable
  • Ability to undertake repetitive manual handling and heavy lifting
  • Comfortable handling large and bulky items, including furniture and white goods
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking approach
  • Willingness to learn new skills and undertake additional training
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices
