I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

The Partner, Capital Formation: Family Offices role is a full-time, remote position responsible for leading capital raising efforts from family offices and institutional investors across the GCC region. This role involves originating and nurturing relationships with high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and sovereign-related entities, and positioning Stator Capital’s investment opportunities in climate technology and infrastructure. The partner will structure co-investment opportunities, manage end-to-end capital formation processes, and coordinate investor due diligence and ongoing communications.

- Relationship-capital role with a live, warm book of the right investors already in hand.
- 10+ years in private wealth, family office coverage or private capital placement with substantial GCC experience.
- Track record of closing private markets commitments of £2-20M per investor.
