Partner - Clinical Negligence - MULTIPLE ROLES
Location: Cardiff
Salary: Flexible/subject to discussion for experienced candidates
The Opportunity
Multiple opportunities are available for experienced Clinical Negligence Partners to join an established and highly regarded team within a leading UK law firm.
This is a priority recruitment campaign for the business, with a strong focus on expanding its Clinical Negligence offering. The opportunity would suit an established Partner, Legal Director, or senior fee earner looking for the next step in their career, as well as individuals with an established client following who are looking for a platform to develop and grow their practice.
Candidates can expect a fast and streamlined interview process, with the first stage held virtually and the second stage in person.
The team represents claimants and their families following poor medical treatment and handles a broad range of clinical negligence matters, including complex and high-value claims. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive, ambitious, and well-established team with genuine scope to develop your practice and play a key role in the continued growth of the department.
The Role
The successful candidate will take a leading role within the Clinical Negligence team, handling a high-quality caseload while contributing to the strategic development and growth of the practice. Responsibilities will include:
- Managing a caseload of complex and high-value clinical negligence matters with a high degree of autonomy.
- Handling a wide range of clinical negligence cases and providing expert advice to clients.
- Maintaining an excellent working knowledge of the CPR and law relating to clinical negligence.
- Providing clear, sensitive, and pragmatic advice to clients on complex matters.
- Drafting and reviewing witness statements, pleadings, and other legal documentation.
- Reviewing medical reports and providing expert analysis and advice.
- Instructing and working closely with Counsel and other external experts.
- Dealing with highly complex conferences, hearings, and litigation.
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Supporting the development of junior members of the team through supervision, coaching, and mentoring.
- Contributing to the strategic development of the Clinical Negligence practice.
- Identifying and pursuing business development and networking opportunities.
- Developing new client relationships and contributing to the growth of the team's caseload.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider firm.
- Maintaining high professional standards and excellent client care.

About You
We are looking for an ambitious and commercially minded Clinical Negligence lawyer with a strong technical background and the ability to contribute to the continued growth of an established practice.
You will ideally have:
- Significant experience handling complex and high-value clinical negligence claims.
- A strong reputation and track record within the Clinical Negligence market.
- Excellent client care and relationship management skills.
- The ability to develop and maintain a successful caseload.
- Strong business development and networking skills.
- Experience supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior lawyers.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team.
- A proactive, entrepreneurial, and forward-thinking approach.
- The ambition to play a significant role in the continued growth of the practice.

Salary
Salary and overall package are open to discussion and will be determined based on the successful candidate's level of experience, technical expertise, client following, and overall suitability for the role.
