Job Description
Vertex is expanding its partner and alliances presence across Europe, and we are looking for a commercially driven Partner Manager to help build partner-sourced pipeline, strengthen strategic relationships, and drive recurring revenue growth.
In this role, you will manage a portfolio of technology partners, channel partners, and strategic alliances across an assigned European region. You will work closely with sales, partner operations, solution engineering, and marketing to create clear partner engagement plans, identify target accounts, generate qualified opportunities, and deliver measurable business impact.
What You Do
- Own partner-sourced pipeline and ARR growth targets for your assigned partner portfolio.
- Develop annual business plans with managed partners, including pipeline commitments, enablement milestones, and demand generation activity.
- Recruit and onboard new partners where there are coverage or capability gaps in your region.
- Run joint account mapping with partners and align target accounts with the direct sales team.
- Manage deal registration, attribution, and partner contribution in partnership with partner operations.
- Support partner enablement, certification, and tier progression across the Vertex product suite.
- Lead regular partner business reviews, using data to assess performance, progress, and future opportunity.
- Act as the main point of contact for partners, coordinating support across sales, solution engineering, pre-sales, and marketing.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience carrying a revenue or pipeline target in sales, partner, alliance, or channel role within enterprise software.
- Proven ability to build partner-sourced pipeline from a standing start, as well as manage and grow existing relationships.
- Strong understanding of deal registration, attribution, partner compensation, and partner governance processes.
- Experience developing partner business plans and running regular business reviews.
- Credibility to engage with consulting firms, systems integrators, and delivery teams at both commercial and practitioner levels.
- Confidence operating across European markets, with willingness to travel to partners and internal teams when needed.
- A collaborative approach to working with direct sales teams and managing partner engagement without creating channel conflict.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
