About Maverick Drinks

Over the past 12 years, Maverick Drinks has developed one of the most compelling and innovative drinks portfolios in the UK. From craft and premium spirits to some of the most exciting emerging brands in the market, we have built our reputation around great products, strong customer relationships and doing things differently.

We work across the UK On-Trade, retail, wholesale and ecommerce, combining the reach and expertise of Maverick Drinks with the wider Atom Brands and Master of Malt businesses.

The Opportunity

Bathtub Gin is one of our most important owned brands, and Kent represents a significant opportunity to build its distribution and visibility.

We are looking for a Partner Manager dedicated exclusively to Bathtub Gin, with responsibility for developing the brand across the Kent On-Trade.

This is a highly field-focused, new-business-led role. You will own the territory, identify the best opportunities for Bathtub Gin and systematically build distribution across independent pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and other relevant licensed venues.

Your job is simple to describe: make Bathtub Gin impossible to ignore in Kent.

What You'll Do

  • Own the Bathtub Gin opportunity in Kent, developing a detailed understanding of the territory, its customers and the biggest opportunities for the brand
  • Build and continually develop a prioritised target universe of relevant independent pubs, gastropubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and other licensed venues
  • Spend the majority of your time in trade, prospecting, sampling and converting new customers
  • Deliver against clear Win It targets for new Bathtub Gin distribution points
  • Ensure new listings are in the Right Place - prioritising venues where Bathtub Gin has a genuine consumer and commercial opportunity rather than chasing distribution for distribution's sake
  • Develop compelling commercial propositions that give customers a clear reason to list and recommend Bathtub Gin
  • Secure Bathtub Gin across back bars, house pours, gin serves and cocktail menus, depending on the opportunity within each account
  • Activate It - support new and existing customers with staff training, tastings, menu activation, POS and relevant consumer-facing activity
  • Build strong relationships with owners, operators, GMs, bar managers and other key decision-makers across the territory
  • Work closely with our wholesale partners to ensure Bathtub Gin is readily available to customers across Kent
  • Identify clusters of opportunity and build density, creating areas where Bathtub Gin has meaningful presence rather than isolated listings
  • Develop high-profile lighthouse accounts that increase the visibility and credibility of Bathtub Gin within the Kent On-Trade
  • Monitor the performance of new accounts and take action to improve rate of sale and repeat purchase
  • Maintain accurate customer, pipeline, distribution and activity information within our CRM
  • Work closely with the Head of On-Trade, Brand and Trade Marketing teams to identify opportunities and deploy investment where it can generate the greatest commercial return

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This retains the strong commercial and activation elements of the existing Partner Manager role — including territory strategy, A&P effectiveness, training and driving distribution/ROS — but focuses them entirely on Bathtub Gin.

How We'll Measure Success

The role will operate against three simple commercial pillars:

  • WIN IT Grow the number of quality Bathtub Gin distribution points across Kent through consistent new business development
  • ACTIVATE IT Turn listings into successful accounts through staff engagement, menu presence, visibility, sampling and activation
  • RIGHT PRODUCT, RIGHT PLACE Ensure Bathtub Gin is being placed in venues where the brand can genuinely succeed, generating sustainable rate of sale and repeat orders

Ultimately, success means more of the right Kent venues stocking Bathtub Gin, selling it consistently and ordering it again

Experience & Skills

We are looking for someone who understands how to win business in the On-Trade and enjoys being out in the market.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in On-Trade sales, account management or new business development, ideally within spirits, beer, wine or premium drinks
  • Strong knowledge of the Kent On-Trade and ideally an existing network within the territory
  • A proven ability to prospect, open doors and convert opportunities into listings
  • Strong commercial awareness and an understanding of what makes a drinks listing commercially attractive to an operator
  • Confidence presenting, sampling and selling to customers at every level, from independent publicans to experienced bar operators
  • The ability to build long-term customer relationships rather than simply secure one-off listings
  • Good organisational skills and the discipline to manage a large territory and sales pipeline effectively
  • An understanding of activation and how visibility, staff advocacy and menu presence can influence rate of sale
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to spend the majority of your working week travelling throughout Kent

About You

You'll thrive in this role if you:

  • Love being out in trade and get energy from meeting customers
  • Are naturally competitive and enjoy winning new business
  • Can work autonomously and take genuine ownership of a territory
  • Are persistent - you understand that a "not now" isn't necessarily a "no"
  • Are comfortable starting conversations and opening doors
  • Think commercially and understand that quality of distribution matters as much as quantity
  • Are organised enough to turn a large territory into a structured sales plan
  • Take pride in building relationships and becoming someone customers genuinely want to work with
  • Are curious, entrepreneurial and prepared to challenge conventional thinking
  • Want to be judged on what you deliver rather than simply how busy you are

Why This Role Is Different

This isn't a traditional portfolio sales role.

You have one brand and one territory.

That gives you the opportunity to build something properly: understand every corner of the market, develop meaningful customer relationships, create density and make Bathtub Gin one of the most visible premium gin brands in Kent.

You'll have the support of the wider Maverick Drinks commercial and marketing teams, but Kent will be yours to own.

Benefits

At Atom, we back curious, ambitious people who want to win. You'll have real autonomy to run your area, challenge ideas and make decisions that directly impact the growth of a fast-scaling brand.

We move quickly, care deeply about results, and give high performers the trust and ownership to deliver. You'll be accountable for outcomes, not activity.

There's no politics or red tape here. Just smart people, high standards and the expectation that you show up, think commercially and get things done.

Alongside core benefits, you'll get a generous staff discount on over 15,000 brand SKU's.
