This opportunity sits within our Partner Matters team, a specialist team largely talent-focused with the primary objective to deliver a differentiated, integrated experience to all our partners, from the point they become partners in the firm, to the time they retire from the partnership. This role will play a key part in supporting one pillar of the team’s core portfolio – Entry to Partnership.
In this role you will drive operational excellence and execution of the new partner transition journey, partnering closely with key HR and Business stakeholders, including members of our Executive. Of strategic importance, partner admissions play a critical role in delivering our strategic Ambition and key priorities/ambitions of the UK firm.

You will be responsible for planning and implementing the new partner transition journey for newly promoted and lateral hire partners (first 18-24 months). This will include continuous enhancement of existing processes and creation of new elements, whilst driving convergence across the Businesses.
Flexibility will be expected in the role. As part of a small team, you can expect to work across the Partner Matters portfolio in peak times and/or where critical deadlines arise, getting involved where additional capacity and/or expertise is needed.

Some key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Ensuring the operational management and delivery of an enhanced new partner transition journey. Whilst overseeing the end-to-end process you will work closely with the various teams and stakeholders involved to best set our new partner joiners up for success in and within our partnership.
- Regularly engage with partner joiners and stakeholders to understand and enhance the overall experience that lateral hire partners have in their first two years.
- Maintain and continuously improve all aspects of the new partner transition journey, demonstrating a commitment to quality, efficiency, and a positive partner experience. This includes reviewing, updating, and innovating materials and communications, as well as utilising technology/AI.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with numerous stakeholders across the new partner transition journey, ensuring clear communication, and effective collaboration throughout the process. This includes creating and maintaining cross-business relationships at senior levels.
- Be highly organised and detail-oriented, demonstrating a commitment to quality in all aspects of the role and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
- Supporting the co-ordination and oversight of UK presence at the global Deloitte New Partner Seminar.
- Supporting the Entry to Partnership Admissions Process Manager with the delivery of the partner admissions process (where required and during times of peak activity), helping to manage change and ensuring Businesses and all relevant teams are fully informed, supported and engaged.
- Collaborating successfully with the range of other teams who contribute to the end-to-end delivery of the Entry to Partnership process, to drive the approach (including the Executive Office, People & Purpose, Partnership Committee, HR, Learning, Partner Finance, Partner Compliance, Partner Development, Partner Admin, ER & Ethics, and Communications).
- Contributing to the delivery of key Executive deliverables (both presentations and reports), ensuring they reflect and align with our Business and its ambitions.
- Influencing others in the Partner Matters team (and beyond) as a role model and exemplar of effective leadership and teaming. Positively contribute to the team brand, culture and purpose.
- Taking on and leading other discrete projects and ad hoc priority areas as and when they emerge during the year, whether they relate directly to the stated role or not.

Essential:
- Demonstrated capability and experience at a manager level.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build trusting relationships with senior stakeholders.
- Proven implementation skills, strong planning and organisational capability and a determination to get things done.
- Experience in the creation of high-quality formal deliverables (both presentations and reports), having a clear focus on delivering quality in everything you do.
- Strong communication skills – verbal and written.
- Ability to be credible and impactful when interacting and dealing with the firm’s most senior people.
- Demonstrated experience in a talent-related field, such as HR, learning, talent, reward, or performance management.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with, understanding and presenting information and data.
- Professional maturity, instilling confidence that they operate in sensitive environments with ease and handle highly confidential data appropriately.
- Resilience and composure when working under pressure, accepting change and being flexible to get the job done.
- A willingness to learn, being open to feedback and prepared to be challenged.
- Demonstrated appropriate commercial acumen, being able to connect that to the role, the agenda, the decisions we make and the relationships that are established.
