We’re BDO

An accountancy and business advisory firm, providing the advice and solutions entrepreneurial organisations need to navigate today’s changing world.

We work with the companies that are Britain’s economic engine – ambitious, entrepreneurially-spirited and high growth businesses that fuel the economy - and directly advise the owners and management teams that lead them.

The Partner Office

The Partner Office team, is responsible for partner HR and partner planning matters and supports the Executive Board with ad hoc projects.

Leading organisations trust us because of the quality of our advice. That quality grows from a thorough understanding of their business, and that understanding comes from working closely with them and building long-lasting relationships.

The Role

The Partner Promotions Manager will lead the day-to-day operational delivery of the Partner Promotions Processes. The role ensures high-quality execution of the Partner Promotions processes, working with colleagues across the firm to ensure robust and compliant processes which deliver a positive candidate experience with appropriate rigour and confidentiality.

The role acts as the central point of coordination for partner promotions activity, driving continuous improvement, managing key stakeholder relationships, and ensuring successful delivery of annual and ad-hoc promotions cycles. In this role you’ll:

  • Lead and oversee the firm's partner promotions process from end to end, ensuring all activities are delivered efficiently, consistently and in line with governance requirements.
  • Act as the central point of coordination throughout the annual promotions cycle, managing key milestones, communications, documentation and stakeholder engagement while maintaining robust controls, audit trails and process documentation.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders including the Executive Board, Partners, business leaders and HR teams, providing expert guidance, support governance forums and ensure the integrity, fairness and compliance of the process.
  • Deliver an excellent candidate experience and drive continuous improvement, including ensuring clear and timely communication with promotion candidates, gathering feedback and identifying opportunities to enhance transparency, efficiency and engagement.
  • Produce meaningful reporting, monitor key metrics and provide insights that support decision-making and process enhancement.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
