We’re growing – and we’re opening expressions of interest for an experienced Corporate and Commercial leader to join our established team in Queenstown, New Zealand.

As part of our long-term investment in Queenstown and the wider South Island, we're seeking expressions of interest from experienced specialists interested in building and growing a practice within a leading New Zealand firm with an existing large Queenstown client base. This appointment will align with the announcement of our spacious new office in the Five Mile business hub.

This is an opportunity for a respected practitioner, ideally with strong expertise across commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, corporate advisory and private equity, with the flexibility to adapt to the region’s unique business environment. Supported by strong and embedded local business connections and an established national platform, this will be an opportunity to develop a buoyant practice and team alongside our existing Partnership, while immersing yourself in the wider Queenstown community.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
