8x8 connects our customers and teams globally, empowering CX leaders with performance and insights to make smarter decisions, delight customers, and drive lasting business impact.
As a Partner Recruitment Rep, you'll find and sign the partners who help grow 8x8's Small Business. It's a prospecting role at heart — if you've worked as an SDR or BDR and enjoy the hunt, you'll recognise the rhythm — but instead of chasing end-customer deals, you're building relationships with partner businesses and bringing them on board.
THE ROLE
What you'll be doing
You'll find, engage, and sign new partners to 8x8 — running a disciplined, research-led outreach approach aimed at partner businesses (resellers, managed service providers, and technology integrators) rather than end customers. You sit right at the start of the journey: turning a target partner into a signed, active partner who's trained, transacting, and ready to grow with us.
The craft is the same one great SDRs know well — smart targeting, personalised multi-channel outreach, sharp qualification, and consistent follow-through — but here the win is a new partner brought on board. You'll focus primarily on recruiting partners for 8x8 Small Business, our fastest-growing area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What you'll do
- Find the right partners. Research and build a prioritised list of target partner businesses that fit our ideal profile — the right type, the right focus, and a genuine reason to partner with 8x8 now.
- Reach the decision-makers. Identify and connect with the people who matter inside each business — owners, managing directors, and sales leaders — building more than one relationship in each.
- Make every outreach count. Lead with genuine, researched relevance rather than generic messages — you understand a partner's business before you reach out.
- Engage across channels. Run thoughtful, well-timed outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn, and video.
- Qualify with rigour. Understand each partner's situation, fit, decision process, and — above all — the commercial opportunity, so you focus your energy where it counts.
- Sign and hand over smoothly. Turn qualified conversations into signed partnerships, then set each new partner up for a strong start with our onboarding and enablement teams.
- Own your pipeline. Keep your pipeline accurate and up to date, and use the insights from your conversations to keep improving.
- Deliver against your targets. Hit your activity and outcome goals, with fully active, transacting partners as the ultimate measure of success.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
