Are you a Senior Associate ready to make the move into Partnership?
Or perhaps you are already a Partner but feel that your current firm takes too much of the value you generate, offers limited autonomy, or simply isn’t as collegiate as you would like?
We are working with a successful firm that has an established reputation across offshore energy, shipping, marine insurance, and commodities.
Why this opportunity?
-
Keep more of the value you create: Partners share the profitability of the business, earning, on average, around £100,000 per annum more than they did at their previous firms. The firm has successfully promoted Senior Associates into partnership where they have demonstrated a client following and ability to operate independently. If you're already generating a strong book of work, this is an environment where that contribution will be recognised.
-
Enjoy genuine autonomy without sacrificing teamwork: This is not a "eat what you kill" environment. The partners place real emphasis on sharing ideas, supporting one another, cross-referring work, and working collaboratively. There is mutual respect and trust within the team, with a strong belief that the best results come from people working together rather than competing internally.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Commodities
Who are they looking for?
They are keen to speak to Senior Associates with a strong following who are ready for Partnership, or an established Partner who wants greater recognition and reward for the business they generate. The key requirement is not a particular title — it is the right mindset.
