About The Role

Private Client Partner – Head of Private Client, Cheltenham.

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious Private Client Partner to lead our established Cheltenham team and play a key role within our Three Counties Hub.

This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the UK’s largest and most respected Private Client teams, working alongside almost 120 specialists nationwide. As a senior member of the team, you’ll help shape the strategic direction of our Private Client offering across the region, whilst driving growth, developing talent and strengthening our market presence.

You will form an integral part of the senior leadership team within the Three Counties Hub, contributing to the continued success and growth of both the local office and the wider national practice.

The Team

Our Private Client team is one of the largest and most highly regarded in the country, with around 120 specialists working across the HCR network. Consistently recognised by Chambers & Partners and The Legal 500, our team includes many lawyers ranked amongst the leading specialists in their field.

We advise a broad spectrum of clients, including HNW and UHNW individuals, families, business owners, trustees and landed estates, delivering strategic advice across all aspects of private client work.

Collaboration is integral to our approach and we work closely with colleagues across the wider firm to provide holistic, tailored advice that meets our clients needs.

The Role

As Head of Private Client, Cheltenham, you will play a leading role in developing the practice across Cheltenham and the wider region.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and developing the Cheltenham Private Client team, providing strategic direction and support.
  • Playing an active role in the growth of the practice, identifying opportunities to expand our client base and regional presence.
  • Advising a broad range of clients on complex private client matters including trusts, succession planning, estate administration and wealth preservation.
  • Building and maintaining lasting relationships with clients, referrers and key professional contacts.
  • Mentoring and developing members of the team, supporting their professional growth and development.
  • Actively contributing to business development and raising the profile of both the team and HCR in the local, and wider, market.

About You

We are looking for an accomplished Private Client lawyer who combines technical excellence with commercial acumen, leadership capability and a passion for private client work.

You Will Be

  • Qualified solicitor with significant experience in Private Client Law.
  • Proven track record of leadership and management within a legal firm or department.
  • Experience in advising HNW clients, families and business owners on complex private client matters.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build lasting relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking, with a focus on driving results.
  • STEP qualified.
