Description
As Partnership Lead – Strategy & Development, you will play a key role in how we develop, manage, and grow our global partnerships. You will be responsible for raising the strategic capability of the Partnerships function, ensuring every partner has a clear, insight-led strategy that connects their business objectives with the opportunities available through Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team.
Working closely with our Partnership Team, senior leadership, and teams across Commercial & Marketing, you will help lead partnerships into meaningful, measurable commercial outcomes. This is a role for someone who can think strategically, challenge constructively, and bring people together, while remaining close enough to the detail to influence how strategies are developed and delivered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic approach across the Partnerships function, establishing the principles, planning processes, tools, and standards that enable teams to create high-quality, bespoke strategies for every partner.
- Develop and challenge partner strategies, working alongside the Partnerships team to ensure strategies are insight-led, commercially focused, and aligned to each partner’s objectives, audiences, and ambitions.
- Drive strategic reviews across the partnership portfolio, using performance data, market intelligence, partner feedback, and audience insight to identify opportunities to optimise performance, increase ROI, and strengthen retention and growth.
- Identify opportunities to integrate partner activity into wider brand and marketing strategies, ensuring partner requirements and opportunities are considered early and create value for both the partner and the Team.
- Champion an outcome-led approach to partnerships, ensuring activity is clearly connected to strategic objectives and delivers measurable value rather than simply responding to briefs or requests.
- Build strategic capability across the Partnerships team, coaching team members to better understand partner businesses, customers, audiences, markets, and commercial objectives.
- Develop tools, training, frameworks, and best-practice resources that improve the consistency and quality of strategic thinking across the function while maintaining a bespoke approach for each partner.
- Provide senior strategic leadership, contributing to the direction and development of the Partnerships function and acting as a trusted advisor to the Chief of Partnerships and wider leadership team.
- Lead strategic relationships with a portfolio of key global partners, representing Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team in senior-level conversations, business reviews, strategic planning, and renewal discussions, while also providing leadership and development to direct reports.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
