Partnership Manager
The Partnership Manager will lead the outward-facing partnership and stakeholder engagement activity for the Mayor’s Stewarding Academy, working closely with the Academy Manager to secure the employer, club, venue, Jobcentre and strategic relationships required to achieve the Academy’s learner recruitment, work experience, INFORMATION, ADVICE AND GUIDANCE (IAG) and employment progression targets. The post holder will develop and manage relationships with Jobcentre Plus, Premier League and ENGLISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE (EFL) clubs, employers across the stewarding and spectator safety sector, the Greater London Authority and the Mayor’s team. They will turn these partnerships into sustained recruitment pipelines, vacancies, work experience, mentoring and employment opportunities for London learners. The post holder will establish and coordinate a London-wide partnership of football clubs, training providers, employers, community organisations and strategic stakeholders to develop a high-quality stewarding and spectator safety workforce. They will oversee learner recruitment, employer engagement, work experience, progression into employment, governance, quality assurance and performance monitoring.
The Partnership Manager will ensure the Academy delivers outstanding learner outcomes while promoting equality, diversity and inclusion, increasing participation from underrepresented groups and supporting London's wider Experience Economy.

Partnership Strategy and Stakeholder Development
To lead the day-to-day external partnership strategy for the Stewarding Academy, developing productive relationships with Jobcentre leads, Premier League and ENGLISH FOOTBALL LEAGUE (EFL) clubs, event venues, employers, the GLA and the wider community.
Strategic Club, Venue and Employer Engagement
To establish and maintain engagement with at least 20 venues across London, building a strong network of clubs, venues and employers able to provide vacancies, work experience, mentoring and progression opportunities.
Recruitment and Referral Development Job Description
To work with Jobcentres and partner organisations to build sustainable referral pipelines and support the Academy to achieve agreed learner recruitment targets.
Employment Pathways
To organise and lead regular meetings with football clubs, venues and employers to identify current and future vacancies, understand workforce requirements and secure opportunities for Academy learners.
Learner Progression and Employment Outcomes
To lead partnership activity that supports the Academy’s target for learner progressions into employment by July 2028, working closely with Liaison Officers, the Academy Manager and delivery teams.

To secure and coordinate opportunities contributing to the academy’s target for learner INFORMATION, ADVICE AND GUIDANCE (IAG) and work experience activities, including mentoring, employer engagement, site visits and other industry exposure.
Partnership Performance and Account Management
To maintain a structured account-management approach for key partners, monitor commitments and opportunities, resolve issues and ensure stakeholders receive a consistent and professional service.
Cross-Agency Collaboration
To develop effective working relationships across Jobcentres, football clubs, venues, employers, training providers, community organisations and strategic partners to strengthen the Academy’s London-wide reach.
Market Intelligence and Sector Development
To monitor labour market needs, vacancies, employer requirements and developments within stewarding, spectator safety and live events, using intelligence to inform recruitment and progression activity.
Team Support and Coordination
To work closely with Liaison Officers and other Academy colleagues, providing clear partnership information, employer leads and opportunities so that learners receive appropriate recruitment, INFORMATION, ADVICE AND GUIDANCE (IAG), work experience and progression support.
