About You 🤩

You love Scottish football, and have a passion for sales. Perhaps you are looking for extra money for savings, holidays or retirement, or you fancy a change of career with uncapped earning potential. You have an expansive business network and/or you are used to navigating LinkedIn to generate fresh leads.

The Role ⚽️

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to solely focus and excel in sourcing, securing, and completing sponsorship partnerships.

  • Sourcing - Initially, you should be responsible for generating your own leads. However, after a successful trial, Sport Sponsorship have a database of potential sponsors which we would love to continually share with you, to help boost your chances of generating extra income.
  • Selling - It is the candidate's role to primarily focus on the sales of sponsorship. Using cold calling, emailing, Google Meets, and LinkedIn, the successful candidate will assess and categorise each lead, and be responsible for nurturing partnerships from each available opportunity. This is a role perfect for a hungry salesperson, eager to increase their earnings potential.
  • Handover - To keep the role as sales focused as possible, the successful candidate will handover a successfully negotiated partnership to another team member for processing. This keeps all administrative tasks to a minimum - allowing you to focus on income generating action.

Renumeration 💰

This is a commission-based role. However, the earning potential is completely uncapped, with the current commission value being between 50k - 75k for the successful candidate. This only increases with the volume of clubs and athletes partnering with us, continually growing.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

If it was important to the successful candidate, Sport Sponsorship would be happy to explore a salaried position in future. However, for now, the role is purely commission-based.

Required Skills 🧐

We are a company who focuses on the individual’s capability and not years of experience, degrees, or any qualifications. We are more interested in your core skills and ability to deliver results. This may mean you have never had any experience in the sports industry or generating sponsorship partnerships. Sport Sponsorship believe the right candidate for this position can range in their experience.

Important Skills:

  • 🤝🏻 Sales - The successful candidate must have an excellent track record in securing sales, and should be comfortable targeting both small/medium sized local businesses, and well-established national brands.
  • 💻 Marketing - A huge benefit for sponsors is the brand awareness they will receive via their partnerships, mainly online. The successful candidate must understand the importance of brand awareness and the opportunities which can be created in the sport sponsorship market. Sport Sponsorship will educate you on those benefits, but you must be comfortable communicating with businesses, relaying the brand awareness opportunities.
  • 🫶🏻 CSR - Sport Sponsorship are passionate about making a difference. We want to encourage more kids into regular sport and source partnerships with similar priorities. It is important that the successful candidate shares a similar passion, and is keen to help us continue to contribute towards making sport more accessible to all.
  • 🗣️ Communication - The successful candidate must be an excellent communicator. We require someone who is comfortable communicating well via telephone, email, and virtual meeting. 9 times out of 10, the successful candidate will be introducing a brand new, and unconsidered brand awareness solution to businesses. Therefore, a good level of persuasion and an ability to generate conversation naturally is crucial.

Working Hours ⏰

We have a full order book, with many packages available to sell. Therefore, we would ideally be looking for an excellent candidate to be available 4 or 5 days a week. However, if the candidate was only able to commit part-time hours, Sport Sponsorship will gladly consider this.

This is a role which does require communication to be carried out between the hours of 09:00 - 17:00, Mon - Fri, only because these are the typical hours of availability for most of our sponsors.

Because the role is self-employed / freelance, we want the successful candidate to benefit from enjoying a flexible working lifestyle.
