Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our service as our permanent Partnership Trainer delivering high-quality training to partner agencies across Birmingham.
Role Details
As a partnership trainer you will get the opportunity to work across organisations in Birmingham to deliver high quality training in relation to substance misuse and access to treatment.
Where: Birmingham
Hours: Full Time - 37.5 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
About the Role
- Build and maintain relationships within community stakeholders to be able to identify and respond to training enquiries.
- Deliver training across Birmingham as identified. This may include joint training sessions with partner organisations.
- Be responsive to any bespoke training requests across the service.
- Develop and maintain a training calendar that reflects opportunities for professional development across the partnership utilising training provision from wider partners.
- Deliver high-quality training as requested ensuring partners are aware and can utilise correct pathways.
- Work with the Quality Team to ensure training is of a high standard and consistent across the partners.
- Evaluate training courses and ensure material is amended and updated.
- Redesign and at times create training course materials.
- Actively promote the use of a wide range of learning.
- To actively promote the values of the organisation at all times.
- To support a culture that promotes teamwork and integrated working at all organisational levels.
- Ensure principles of CGL’s equal opportunities and diversity policies are adhered to.
- Ensure confidentiality of personal data is maintained.
- Undertake all other duties as required commensurate with the post.

About You
- Considerate experience of working within substance misuse services with a clear understanding of the need for and ability to deliver quality services.
- Demonstrate effective presentation and facilitation skills.
- Experience of delivering training and/or group work.
- An excellent understanding of learning styles and the ability to adapt training and resources to meet the needs of different learners.
- Extensive knowledge of the issues facing substance and alcohol misusers including social care, welfare benefits, health and emergency accommodation.
