Company Description

Goodacre UK is a specialist provider of consultancy, recruitment, training, and event management services for the financial services sector. The company works with leading market participants, including banks, regulators, stock exchanges, data providers, and system suppliers across the UK. Its team of experienced consultants and subject matter experts deliver practical solutions and support that help organisations enhance their profiles and extend their reach. Goodacre UK also offers tailored training programs and organises prominent industry events such as the Systems In The City Awards, the City of London Wealth Management Summit, and the City of London Wealth Management Awards.

Role Description

This new position has been created as a result of business expansion and the growing range of services Goodacre provides to firms across the UK investment industry.

The successful applicant will work remotely for part of the week but will need to attend meetings and events in London. Applicants should therefore live within a reasonable commuting distance of central London.

The successful candidate will help us identify and engage with companies interested in partnering with Goodacre and supporting our expanding programme of services, events, conferences, and industry initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Researching and identifying prospective clients, sponsors, and commercial partners
  • Making introductions and developing relationships with relevant organisations
  • Supporting sales, marketing, and business-development campaigns
  • Helping to promote Goodacre’s events, roundtables, and wider services
  • Maintaining accurate prospect and contact information
  • Assisting with proposals, communications, and follow-up activity
  • Working with colleagues to identify new commercial opportunities

Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has an understanding of the UK investment-services sector
  • Is educated to degree level or can demonstrate equivalent professional experience
  • Lives within a reasonable commuting distance of central London
  • Communicates confidently and professionally by telephone, email, and in person
  • Is comfortable making introductions and initiating new business conversations
  • Has strong research, organisational, and administrative skills
  • Can work independently while contributing effectively as part of a small team
  • Takes a proactive, accurate, and commercially focused approach
