About Be Free Campaign

Be Free Campaign is a youth-led mental health charity providing early intervention and preventative support for children and young people, particularly those from racially minoritised, disadvantaged and underrepresented communities.

We have grown significantly over the last few years, developing new programmes, partnerships and opportunities across Liverpool City Region and the wider North West.

We are now looking for someone to help us build the relationships and income that will support the next stage of that growth.

About the Role

We are looking for a confident and proactive Partnerships & Development Officer to help grow Be Free Campaign’s partnerships and generate new income.

This is a relationship-focused role. You will identify organisations we should be working with, get in front of the right people, build strong relationships and turn those conversations into meaningful partnerships and income.

That could mean developing a corporate partnership, securing sponsorship, creating a funded or commissioned partnership, responding to a funding opportunity or developing a strong proposal for a prospective partner.

You will manage a developing pipeline of opportunities, from identifying and approaching prospective partners through to following up conversations and progressing opportunities towards agreement.

We are open to people from different backgrounds. You might already have experience in fundraising, sales, business development, account management or partnerships. Equally, you might be earlier in your career but able to demonstrate excellent relationship-building skills, strong written communication, initiative and the confidence to create new opportunities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

We care much more about your ability, approach and potential than whether you have followed a particular career path.

Key Responsibilities

Partnerships, Development & Income Generation

  • Build and maintain relationships with a range of organisations, including businesses, funders, higher education institutions and other potential partners, to create partnership and income opportunities.
  • Proactively identify and approach potential partners and represent Be Free Campaign at relevant meetings, networking events and other opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities for organisations to fund, commission, sponsor or otherwise support Be Free Campaign’s work.
  • Develop strong proposals, pitches and funding applications tailored to different partners and opportunities, including trusts and foundations where appropriate.
  • Work with the wider team to gather the impact, evidence and information needed to make a strong case for support.
  • Build positive ongoing relationships with partners and funders, identifying opportunities to deepen or grow their involvement with Be Free Campaign.

Pipeline Management

  • Maintain a clear pipeline of prospective partnerships and income opportunities.
  • Follow up conversations and leads consistently, progressing opportunities from first contact through to agreement.
  • Keep CRM records, deadlines and next actions up to date.
  • Work towards agreed partnership and income targets and provide regular updates on progress.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is confident building relationships and talking to new people.
  • Can communicate clearly and persuasively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Is proactive and comfortable creating opportunities rather than waiting for them to come to you.
  • Is organised and good at following things through.
  • Can work independently, take ownership of their work and manage competing priorities.
  • Is comfortable working towards targets and delivering tangible outcomes.
  • Is curious and able to spot opportunities that could develop into new partnerships or income.
  • Shares our commitment to improving mental health and opportunities for children and young people.

Desirable

It would be useful, but not essential, if you have experience of:

  • Developing corporate or external partnerships.
  • Generating income or working towards sales, fundraising or other commercial targets.
  • Writing proposals, bids or funding applications.
  • Using a CRM or managing a pipeline of opportunities.
  • Working within the charity, health, education or public sector.
  • Working across Liverpool City Region or the wider North West.

Why Join Be Free Campaign?

This is an opportunity to join a growing youth-led charity at an exciting point in our development.

You will have significant freedom to develop new ideas and relationships, work directly with senior colleagues and see the impact that the partnerships and income you generate have on young people.

As Be Free Campaign continues to grow, there is scope for this role to develop into a Partnerships & Development Lead position, with greater responsibility for shaping and leading our partnerships and income generation work.

We know that brilliant people do not always have the perfect CV. If the role interests you and you think you have the skills, attitude and potential to do it well, we would encourage you to apply.
