I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
No two conversations look the same, which is the fun of it.
What the job actually looks like
- Finding the right partners, getting in front of the decision-maker, and running the whole conversation yourself from first approach to close
- Owning a revenue target and a pipeline you're proud of
- Looking after your accounts properly, so renewals feel like a natural next step rather than a hard conversation
- Spotting where a partner could be doing more with us, and making the case for it
- Both time in office and out and about: site visits, launches, tastings, coffees, and working the room at our own events
What we're looking for
- Some sales experience and the hunger to go further. You've hit targets and you want a role where you can really run
- Real appetite for new business. You enjoy the chase and a no doesn't knock you off course
- Confidence with senior people, or the appetite to build it fast. You'll be in front of GMs, marketing directors and owners
- A genuine love of hospitality, travel and events, with your finger on the pulse of the latest openings
- Good commercial instincts and the organisation to run your own pipeline and diary
