Business Development Manager

About Us

CAMHS Professionals is a specialist healthcare staffing and recruitment agency with over a decade of experience supporting children, young people and adults with complex mental health, learning disability and behavioural needs. Built on a clinical CAMHS background, we supply high quality clinical and support staff and deliver bespoke complex care packages to local authorities, NHS trusts and independent providers across the UK.

The Role

The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. You will be responsible for developing relationships with local authority commissioners, NHS trusts and private sector providers, positioning CAMHS Professionals as a trusted partner for both complex care packages and traditional staffing solutions.

This candidate will be focused, commercially minded and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans, understand the pressures facing health and social care commissioners, and have a demonstrated ability to execute a strategy from first contact through to contract.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with councils, NHS trusts, integrated care boards and private healthcare and residential care providers
  • Proactively contact commissioners, placement teams, brokerage teams, ward managers and service leads to introduce our services and understand their current and future needs
  • Promote and secure complex care packages, including 1:1 and 2:1 support for children and young people with complex needs, placement stabilisation, step down from inpatient settings and bespoke packages following placement breakdown
  • Grow our traditional staffing business across nursing (RMN, RNLD), psychiatry (consultant psychiatrists, specialty doctors and trainees), allied health professionals (occupational therapists, speech and language therapists and other AHPs), psychologists, healthcare assistants, support workers and social workers, covering temporary, block and permanent placements
  • Develop new relationships in an effort to grow business and help the company expand into new regions and service areas
  • Maintain and grow existing client accounts through regular contact, service reviews and a clear understanding of client satisfaction
  • Identify, monitor and support responses to tenders, frameworks and dynamic purchasing systems, working with internal teams to produce strong, compliant bids
  • Work closely with our compliance, recruitment and clinical teams to ensure that what we promise to clients can be safely and reliably delivered
  • Maintain accurate records of activity, leads and pipeline in the company CRM and report regularly on progress against targets
  • Represent CAMHS Professionals at sector events, conferences and networking opportunities
  • Stay up to date with market trends, commissioning priorities, competitor activity and regulatory changes across health and social care
  • Think critically when planning to assure project success, and contribute ideas to the wider commercial strategy

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
