Salary: £128,000 per year
About the Role
This is a high-impact, fixed-term opportunity operating at the direct intersection of the music publishing industry and cutting-edge digital technology platforms. You will join a dedicated Music Publishing Partnerships team of 10, collaborating closely with approximately 10 external cross-functional stakeholders across business development and operations.
You will manage partner engagement with music publishers, collection societies, and hubs across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). This role requires managing high-complexity digital rights, leading operational data exchanges, and representing the platform across key industry initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Partner Engagement & Operations
- Strategic Partner Management: Serve as a primary interface for music publishing partners across EMEA, ensuring clear communication, alignment on contractual obligations, and product adoption.
- Operational Triaging: Address, triage, and resolve complex partner queries by coordinating across internal teams and technical systems.
- Data Exchange Management: Partner closely with internal operations teams to ensure accurate, timely data exchange between music partners and internal systems for song identification and royalty payments.
- Business Reviews & Events: Conduct periodic business reviews tracking music usage across platform apps and oversee external partner events.

Ecosystem Insights & Strategy
- Data-Driven Analysis: Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis to inform publishing-specific strategies, platform operations, and executive decision-making.
- Ecosystem Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert on the EMEA music publishing landscape, copyright trends, and evolving digital monetization models.
- Marketing & Program Support: Support the execution of marketing initiatives that align with platform goals while supporting publisher and songwriter priorities.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience: Sufficient years of relevant professional experience within music publishing, collective management organizations (CMOs), or digital rights management.
- Industry Expertise: Deep, specialized understanding of music publishing rights, digital music business models, and music rights data exchange formats (distinct from recorded music/label experience).
- Stakeholder Management: Proven track record of engaging, negotiating with, and influencing senior external stakeholders (Director-level and above).
- Analytical Skills: Strong numerical literacy and comfort analyzing data sets to solve complex operational challenges.
- Notice Period: Immediate to short availability preferred (candidates with notice periods longer than 3 months will not be considered).

Preferred Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred (flexible for candidates with exceptional tech platform experience).
- Digital Platform Background: Direct experience working within or alongside major digital platforms (e.g., YouTube, TikTok, Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music).
- Publisher & CMO Background: Prior experience at major music publishers (e.g., Sony Music Publishing, Universal Music Publishing Group, Warner Chappell) or collection societies (e.g., PRS for Music, SACEM).
- Technical Understanding: Familiarity with digital music licensing agreements and back-end operational royalty processing.
