The Role
As Partnerships Manager: Brand Partnerships, you’ll drive new commercial growth by identifying, developing and securing brand partnerships across Goalhanger’s premium podcasts. This is a new business role for someone who enjoys opening doors, building relationships and turning opportunities into long-term partnerships. You’ll own your pipeline, lead outreach, develop proposals and close deals against clear revenue targets. This role is ideal for an ambitious salesperson who enjoys creating opportunities from scratch and working on creative campaigns.
What you’ll do:
- Own new business development across Goalhanger's brand partnership offering, with responsibility for delivering against individual revenue targets.
- Build, manage and convert your own pipeline of prospective brand partners through research, prospecting, networking, referrals and outbound outreach.
- Proactively identify new opportunities by understanding market trends, brand priorities, emerging companies and category opportunities.
- Use cold outreach and relationship-building skills to open conversations with new prospective partners.
- Build relationships with senior marketing stakeholders, understanding their objectives and positioning Goalhanger as a valuable commercial partner.
- Take ownership of the full sales cycle, from prospect identification and initial outreach through to pitching, negotiation, closing and campaign handover.
- Create opportunities beyond traditional podcast advertising, including bespoke sponsorships, branded content, talent-led campaigns and multi-platform activations.
- Ensure commercial partnerships are the right editorial and audience fit for each Goalhanger show.
- Work collaboratively with Production, Digital and Commercial teams to turn ideas into high-quality campaigns.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting and CRM reporting to support revenue planning.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
