Education Partnerships Account Manager | up to £40k plus bonus
The Role
We are seeking a commercially minded, relationship-driven Education Partnerships Account Manager to join our established commercial team. In this role, you will act as the primary lead for our highest-value institutional clients, driving key account retention, product expansion, and client satisfaction. Beyond managing high-stakes client relationships, you will collaborate directly with team leadership on long-term commercial strategy and actively mentor junior team members.
Core Responsibilities
- Key Client Retention & Upselling: Direct strategic relationship management for top-tier academic and institutional partners. Negotiate complex renewal contracts and pitch add-on workshops, flagship summer cohorts, and digital learning platforms.
- Partner Engagement: Conduct high-impact virtual and on-site visits across partner institutions. Deliver engaging presentations to senior educators, students, and parent networks.
- Pipeline & Data Management: Oversee account health through CRM tracking. Monitor usage trends, identify risk factors early, and deliver actionable pipeline analytics to leadership.
- Commercial Strategy: Partner with senior leads to refine renewal framework models, client outreach plans, and cross-departmental alignment.
- Team Guidance & Mentorship: Provide day-to-day functional support and coaching to junior account coordinators, serving as a step towards formal direct-report management.
- Operational Delivery: Support the execution and management of dynamic student career programmes during peak seasonal delivery periods.

Candidate Profile
- Professional Background: Prior experience in corporate account management, client success, or institutional partnerships (experience within EdTech, higher education, or commercial learning providers is highly desirable).
- Commercial Drive: Demonstrated success in meeting expansion metrics, securing account renewals, and identifying revenue growth opportunities.
- Communication & Presence: Exceptional public speaking and interpersonal skills, comfortable addressing diverse audiences from school leaders to large student groups.
- Analytical Approach: Proficient with sales CRM platforms and data tracking tools to maintain organized pipeline records.
- Coaching Mindset: Eager to share knowledge, support junior staff, and step into formal team leadership.
