The Role

This is an exciting 12-month secondment/fixed-term opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work across Health and Social Care, supporting high-quality, person-centred equipment provision.

Working as a specialist Occupational Therapist, you will provide expert advice and clinical oversight as a critical friend for complex and specialist equipment requests. You will work closely with clinicians, commissioners, and equipment providers to ensure equipment recommendations are appropriate, proportionate, cost-effective, and focused on maximising independence and quality of life.

You will use your specialist knowledge of community equipment, daily living solutions, and minor adaptations to support decision-making and promote consistent practice across services. The role may also offer opportunities to contribute to service improvement, workforce development, training, and future approaches to equipment provision.

About You

You will be an experienced Occupational Therapist with a strong commitment to enabling people to achieve the best possible outcomes through effective equipment provision. You will have a good knowledge of equipment needed through life stages and statuary legislation
