About The Role…
We are excited to be recruiting for a Product Purchasing Assistant. This is an unrivalled opportunity to join one of the UK’s fastest growing motor groups.
As a Product Purchasing Assistant, you will be a valued team member committed to working within the planning team to maintain purchasing processes and related tasks by monitoring supplies and products, ensuring on hand availability in line with the needs of the Company. You will also need to develop and maintain working relationships with external suppliers and internal staff to make sure day to day operations run smoothly and efficiently, all whilst contributing towards making Stoneacre the Number One Motor Group.

An average day as a Product Purchasing Assistant…
- You will issue weekly purchase orders to suppliers, distributors and manufacturers.
- You will ensure that orders received are accurate.
- You will work handle goods throughout the purchasing process
- You will keep accurate records of purchases made and keep logs and files
- You will reconcile purchase orders.
- You will have the ability to work in a team but also think outside of the box.
- Will work closely with the team to ensure products purchased are in line with the needs of the company.
- You will conduct competitor analysis for example cross referencing and pricing to identify popular products with attention to detail
- Be able to communicate and liaise with planning to ensure forward planning in line with the needs of the company.
- Have excellent communication skills that are required for dealing with suppliers to optimise and or negotiate best pricing and deliveries.
About You…
- Have basic Knowledge of automotive parts and the wider range preferred we supply not only vehicle parts but stationary, packaging, first aid and ppe, Janitorial cleaning and company work wear to name a few.
- Have excellent interpersonal and social skills
- Have good time management and dedication to work
- You will be computer literate, have good excel skill, word and access to any other Microsoft ware.
- Have experience with using online and windows based cataloguing system such as mam and auto cat.
- Have commitment to learn, develop and progress
- You will have good verbal and written communication skills
