Parts Advisor

Location: Leicester

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive + Benefits

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our Aftersales team. This role is ideal for an individual with experience in automotive parts who takes pride in delivering excellent customer service, maintaining high levels of accuracy, and supporting an efficient operation.

As a key member of the Parts Department, you will be responsible for supplying parts for both customers and workshop technicians, managing orders, maintaining stock integrity, and helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide a professional and responsive service to retail, trade, and internal customers.
  • Accurately identify and supply parts, accessories, and related products.
  • Process customer orders and provide regular updates on availability and delivery times.
  • Manage backorders and liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to minimise delays.
  • Support workshop operations through the timely supply of required parts.
  • Receive, check, and accurately store incoming stock.
  • Maintain stock accuracy through regular stock control activities and inventory checks.
  • Process parts returns, warranty items, and manufacturer requests in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure all records, transactions, and documentation are maintained accurately and compliantly.
  • Adhere to company policies relating to quality, Health & Safety, and operational standards.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience within an automotive parts department, dealership, motor factor, commercial vehicle, or similar environment.
  • Good knowledge of vehicle parts and accessories.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise workload and work effectively in a busy environment.
  • Experience using parts catalogues, stock management systems, and computerised ordering systems.
  • A proactive and professional approach with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
