Parts Advisor - JLR Guildford

Working in our parts department as a Parts Advisor you will be a key part of the Retail Centre. You will have excellent communication and organisational skills to deal with customers face to face or over the phone, providing an outstanding customer service to all customers.

What you'll do day to day

  • Provide guidance to customers on the availability of parts, ensuring timely and accurate information
  • Operate in a fast-paced call centre environment, handling high volumes of inbound and outbound calls
  • Engage in tele sales activities, proactively reaching out to trade customers to promote parts, offers, and services
  • Demonstrate strong communication and sales skills to convert enquiries into orders and build lasting customer relationships
  • Receive, log, and accurately allocate parts and consumables from suppliers
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to both external and internal customers
  • Offer knowledgeable recommendations on suitable parts to meet customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate customer records on our systems
  • Effectively communicate relevant promotions, offers, and product information to customers
  • Ensure full familiarity with all procedures and processes within the parts department
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with the manufacturer and suppliers

Helpful skills and qualifications

  • Strong ability to meet deadlines and effectively prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Capable of maintaining a methodical and logical approach, particularly during busy periods
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Exceptional time management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • Proficient in IT, with experience of using web-based systems, email, and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Must hold a valid UK driving licence
