Parts Advisor

Location: Gatwick Area
Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent
Salary: £32,500 + Bonus
Hours: 42 hours per week (Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturdays 8:00am to 2:00pm on a rota basis)

Our client, a well-established automotive retailer, is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Parts Advisor to join their successful team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to play a key role within a busy parts department, working alongside a professional and supportive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, managing parts enquiries, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of the department.

The Role

As a Parts Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting both retail and workshop customers, ensuring all parts requests and orders are handled efficiently and accurately. You will also carry out a range of administrative duties, maintain stock accuracy, and assist in delivering a smooth and effective parts operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Parts Manager with daily departmental duties
  • Complete vehicle health checks for the workshop
  • Maintain accurate stock control and ensure parts are correctly stored and located
  • Receive and process orders efficiently
  • Manage returns and maintain up-to-date records
  • Handle customer enquiries via telephone and in person
  • Deliver exceptional levels of customer service
  • Process customer and workshop orders within agreed timescales
  • Report and investigate stock discrepancies when required

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Parts Advisor or similar automotive parts role
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Good IT and administrative abilities
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A proactive and professional approach to your work
