Job Description: Parts Advisor
Adams Morey is looking for a motivated and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our busy team at our Portsmouth.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service skills and a passion for the automotive industry to develop their career with a well-established and respected commercial vehicle dealer group.
About the Role
As a Parts Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting our workshop and customers by ensuring the correct parts are identified, ordered, and supplied efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining excellent customer service standards while helping to maximize parts sales and profitability.
Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times.
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
- 45 hours per week
- 1 in 3 Saturdays: 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
- 30-minute lunch break (unpaid)
Salary
- Dependent on experience, will be discussed at the interview stage

- Advising customers and technicians on parts requirements.
- Identifying, sourcing, and supplying vehicle parts accurately.
- Processing parts orders and handling enquiries by phone, email, and in person.
- Maintaining stock levels and assisting with inventory control.
- Receiving, checking, and storing deliveries.
- Promoting parts sales and identifying upselling opportunities.
- Ensuring a high standard of customer service at all times.
- Working closely with the Service and Workshop teams to meet customer needs.
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a Parts Advisor, Parts Assistant, or similar role.
- Automotive, commercial vehicle, or motor trade experience would be advantageous.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT and administrative skills.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude.
