The Role
As a Parts Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the Parts Department. You’ll help manage stock, process deliveries, and support the production team to keep repairs on track and customers satisfied.

Key Responsibilities
- Receive, check, and process incoming parts — ensuring accuracy and that items are free from damage.
- Verify invoices and upload them to the company database against the correct job.
- Allocate job numbers, organise parts storage, and maintain a well-ordered parts area.
- Manage parts returns and ensure supplier credits are processed promptly.
- Liaise with suppliers to resolve issues such as delays or incorrect parts.
- Communicate with the Production Manager to update on parts ETAs and highlight any issues.
- Maintain and control dry stock levels.
- Support customer service when required.
- Assist the Vehicle Damage Assessor by taking vehicle images and completing other ad-hoc tasks as needed.

About You
- Previous experience in the automotive industry is desirable but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- A proactive team player who can communicate effectively and prioritise workload.
- Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering great service.
