Job: Parts Delivery Driver

Contract: Permanent

Based: Ashford

Hours: 8.00am – 5.00pm Monday to Friday, plus every other Saturday morning

Channel Commercials PLC is a leading commercial vehicle dealer providing sales, parts and servicing for DAF Trucks, light commercial vehicles and vans in the South-East.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Delivery Driver operating out of our Ashford depot. Driving a delivery vehicle, the successful candidate will deliver and collect parts and accessories to and from our Customers, Suppliers and Depots. We are looking for someone that can start immediately.

Main Duties include:

  • Driving the Company's vehicle in a safe and legal manner
  • Keeping the vehicle clean and maintained
  • Selecting parts and loading them onto the delivery vehicle
  • Planning the route within set parameters
  • Delivering parts and collecting returns
  • Checking delivery is accurate to invoice/delivery note
  • Putting stock away
  • Promoting good customer relations
  • Identifying sales opportunities and progressing sales

Essential Qualities include:

  • Clean driving licence
  • Road knowledge of Kent and surrounding areas
  • Experience of dealing with customers
  • Low accident record

  • Ability to build a rapport with customers and maintain good customer relationships
