Parts Manager

Location: York

Salary: Basic Salary £40,000

Hours: Monday - Friday 08:00 – 18:00

Role Responsibilities

  • Managing the Parts Advisors / Parts Delivery Drivers to ensure first class customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Creating annual sales & profit plans & forecasts along with operational budgets.
  • Finance and Cost control; To work closely with your Retailer Accountant, to understand, monitor, control and manage costs where possible.
  • Stock Management - ensuring that there is adequate stock available on site at all times and that processes are followed in correctly identifying and warehousing of stock items.
  • Ensuring best practice housekeeping and health and safety standards are kept for both stores and retail section of the Parts Department.

Requirements

The ideal Parts Manager will have the following skills and experiences:

  • Good leadership skills in managing a team of Parts Advisors and Parts Delivery Driver.
  • Excellent Customer Relations.
  • Proficiency in analyzing reports and managing costs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and be well presented.
  • Must be IT literate, and a working knowledge of Kerridge would be advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a similar role within the motor industry is essential.
