About the Role

We're looking for a proactive and customer-focused Sales Advisor to join our team in Heanor.

Supporting the sale of standard power generation equipment, you'll be responsible for managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, processing orders and supporting projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational and communication skills who enjoys building customer relationships and delivering a high standard of service in a fast-paced commercial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer enquiries relating to standard generator products and associated equipment.
  • Prepare and issue quotations accurately and within agreed timescales.
  • Follow up quotations and sales opportunities to maximise order conversion.
  • Manage opportunities and customer interactions through Salesforce.
  • Process customer orders and maintain accurate records using internal systems.
  • Work closely with customers, suppliers and internal departments to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Maintain agreed pricing structures, margins and discount levels.
  • Keep stock and product information up to date.
  • Support monthly sales reporting and forecasting activities.
  • Promote additional products and services where opportunities arise.
  • Ensure a high level of customer service throughout the sales process.
  • Comply with company procedures and quality standards.

About You

We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, organised and enjoys working directly with customers.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience within a sales support, sales advisor, internal sales or customer service role.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent administration and organisational abilities.
  • Confidence managing multiple enquiries and priorities.
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn technical products.

Experience within engineering, manufacturing, power generation or an industrial environment would be advantageous.
