Role Description

The Part-time Receptionist will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers at the City of London office in an on-site capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Greeting clients and guests
  • Answering and directing phone calls
  • Managing incoming and outgoing mail
  • Coordinating meeting room bookings
  • Performing general clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, maintaining reception and common areas
  • Supporting with administrative tasks

The Receptionist will handle client inquiries professionally, ensure a welcoming front-office environment, and follow firm procedures for visitor access and security. This part-time position requires flexibility in working hours and the ability to support office operations during peak business times.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and team members.
  • Solid phone etiquette and receptionist duties skills to manage calls, direct inquiries, and maintain a professional front desk presence.
  • Organized clerical skills, including filing, data entry, and basic office administration.
  • Relevant experience in a receptionist, front desk, or administrative support role in a professional services environment is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced office.
  • Hands-on approach to maintaining the tidiness of common areas and meeting rooms.
  • Comfort using common office software (e.g., email, word processing, calendars) and telephone systems.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and the ability to work part-time on-site in the City of London as scheduled.
