About Newah Tuition
Newah Tuition is a UK-based education organisation providing personalised academic tuition, admissions support and professional mentoring. Our team includes medical students, graduates, researchers, academics and working professionals who help learners develop confidence, independence and sustainable academic success.
We support students across GCSEs and A Levels, as well as medical and Oxbridge admissions, university applications, academic skills, and early-career development.
The Role
We are recruiting knowledgeable, reliable and motivated Part-Time Tutors to join our growing team.
This is a predominantly online role, with most lessons delivered remotely. A small number of in-person teaching opportunities may be available across Greater London, subject to tutor availability and student requirements.
Hours are flexible and arranged according to tutor availability and student demand. Tutors should ideally be available during peak teaching periods, including weekday evenings and weekends.

A Level:
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- Mathematics
- Further Mathematics
GCSE:
- Triple Science: Biology, Chemistry and Physics
- Combined Science
- Higher Mathematics
- English Language
- English Literature
Applicants may apply to teach one or multiple subjects, provided they meet the academic requirements for each subject selected.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured and personalised lessons.
- Identify students’ strengths, knowledge gaps and academic objectives.
- Adapt teaching methods and resources to individual learning needs.
- Teach content accurately and in line with the relevant curriculum and examination board.
- Support students with examination preparation, revision strategies and practice questions.
- Monitor student progress and provide clear, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate lesson records and communicate relevant progress updates.
- Build positive, professional relationships with students and parents or guardians.
- Work collaboratively with the wider Newah Tuition team.
- Maintain appropriate safeguarding, confidentiality and professional-conduct standards.

Essential Academic Requirements
Applicants must:
- Have achieved a minimum grade of A at A Level, or an accepted equivalent qualification, in each subject they intend to teach.
- Demonstrate excellent subject knowledge and the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Be currently enrolled on a full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course; be a working professional or graduate; or hold a confirmed offer to begin an undergraduate or postgraduate course.
- Have previous experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring or supporting students.
- Possess excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Be reliable, punctual and capable of working independently.
- Have access to a stable internet connection, a suitable device and a professional environment for online teaching.
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate or be willing to undergo an Enhanced DBS check before beginning eligible tutoring work.
- Be committed to inclusive, non-discriminatory and safeguarding-conscious teaching practices.
Desirable Experience
- Familiarity with major UK examination boards and current GCSE or A-Level specifications.
- Experience teaching online using interactive digital tools.
- Experience supporting students with examination technique and structured revision.
- Evidence of strong academic achievement at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Experience working with students from different age groups and educational backgrounds.
- An existing Enhanced DBS registered with the DBS Update Service.
