About the Role
Hillsong UK is seeking a Pastor and Location Coordinator to support the pastoral, operational, and administrative functions of our Liverpool location.
Working alongside the Location Pastor, this role is responsible for coordinating Sunday services, supporting volunteers and ministry teams, assisting with pastoral care and midweek activities, maintaining key systems and processes, and helping ensure the effective day-to-day running of the location.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys serving people, building healthy church community, and coordinating the practical and pastoral aspects of church life.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Support
- Work alongside the Location Pastor to ensure teams are prepared, scheduled, and equipped for Sunday services and key events.
- Build strong relationships with volunteers and leaders, providing encouragement, support, and pastoral care where appropriate.
- Help create a welcoming and connected church environment where new people are noticed, supported, and encouraged in their next steps.
Pastoral & Community Support
- Assist the Location Pastor with pastoral care across the church community.
- Support volunteers and Team Leaders in the outworking of their responsibilities and leadership.
- Assist with connecting and integrating new people into the life of the church.
- Respond appropriately to pastoral care matters and escalate where necessary.
- Support follow-up processes and ChurchSuite workflows relating to integration and community engagement.
- Help foster a healthy community culture across teams, groups, and church life.

Operations & Administration
- Support the planning and delivery of midweek events and activities, including communications, venue coordination, budgeting, and event administration.
- Manage day-to-day location administration, including purchases, invoices, volunteer expenses, reporting, and routine building maintenance.
- Liaise with teams regarding resources and arrange orders where required.
- Maintain accurate records across ChurchSuite, Concur, IRIS, and Microsoft 365, ensuring information is managed in accordance with GDPR, safeguarding requirements, and Hillsong UK policies.
- Support onboarding processes, safeguarding requirements, and DBS compliance for relevant volunteers.
Venue & Health and Safety
- Liaise with Central Services to ensure venue compliance requirements are met.
- Ensure venue-related invoices, contracts, and documentation are processed appropriately.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are followed, including risk assessments, incident reporting, and venue compliance.
- Ensure there are sufficient Host Team members available each week to support fire evacuation procedures and venue safety requirements.
About You
You will have a genuine passion for serving the local church and supporting people in their faith journey. You will be organised, proactive, and able to balance pastoral care with operational responsibilities.

- Competency in Microsoft 365 and database systems.
- An understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and health and safety responsibilities.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Experience serving in a pastoral, ministry, or church leadership environment.
- Experience coordinating events, volunteers, or church administration.
Desirable:
- Formal theological or ministry training (Hillsong College, local Bible College, or equivalent).
- Health and Safety training.
- First Aid qualification.
- Safeguarding training.
- Project or event management training.
Working Pattern
- Fixed Term Contract (12 months)
- Part Time, 3 days per week
- Sundays required at the Liverpool location
- Remote working (Non-London location)
Additional Information
From time to time, you may be required to support Hillsong Conference, church events, and other activities consistent with the responsibilities of the role.
