About the Role

South Wolds is a high attaining, semi-rural school located in the village of Keyworth in Nottinghamshire which is only 6 miles from West Bridgford. We are also a founding partner of the East Midlands Education Trust, committed to providing a first-class education for all of our students.

We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Pastoral Support Assistant who is passionate, proactive and committed to ensuring that every student is supported to achieve their full potential. Working as part of our dedicated pastoral team, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students' wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and personal development.

The role will involve working closely with students, parents, carers and external agencies to address barriers to learning and promote positive outcomes. You will provide targeted pastoral interventions, act as a key worker for identified students, support reintegration following suspension, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure students feel safe, supported and successful.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
